Clay Cross Town Centre Group Re-Launched

Clay Cross Town Centre Group was originally launched in 2005, and is a group made up of local businesses who came together to help improve Clay Cross for both visitors and local people alike.  However, in the last few years, the group had become dormant, with little activity taking place.  This all changed in 2011, with the group seeing a resurgence in activity, with its membership increasing to 30 members.

The group aims to work in partnership with other local organisations and the wider community to undertake activities that will regenerate Clay Cross and the surrounding area.  This includes running a number of events aimed at raising money to fund regeneration projects, such as a recent successful Psychic Evening and an upcoming Barn Dance and Pie and Pea Supper at the Social Centre on the 28th April 2012 at 7:30pm (tickets priced at £10 and available from the Social Centre).

The group produce a regular newsletter, which has updates on their activities as well as member profiles and is available as a supplement in ‘Wings’ magazine.  They also have a website with more information about their members and activities at www.a-crossthecommunity.co.uk.
