Clay Cross Community Open Day - Friday 27 August 2010
Join the second community celebration event in Clay Cross to mark progress on the £22m regeneration of the town.
Activities and games for youngsters, a balloon race with prizes, art workshops and sessions for local businesses are just a few of the highlights at the next event, being held at Clay Cross Social Centre from 11am to 5pm.
Bonus events will also be held in the run up to the event – including a ‘Trace Your Rail Ancestors’ family history workshop by leading expert, Dr Di Drummond, on 24 August from 6pm at Clay Cross Social Centre.
Meanwhile, an Activity Marquee will be on the former schools site on Market Street from 25 to 27 August, from 11am to 4pm, with even more kids’ sessions and activities.
Work on the multi-million pound regeneration scheme which is set to transform Clay Cross and create hundreds of new jobs has officially started.
