School artwork sessions

Clay Cross gets arty!

Youngsters and community groups across Clay Cross have been getting arty to celebrate the regeneration of their town!

Pupils at Sharley Park Community Primary School, Holmgate Primary School and Nursery, Deincourt Community School and Tupton Hall School, as well as members of local community groups, are among those who have been taking part in a series of arts activities and workshops.

The ongoing events are a chance for the community to get involved in the New Bridge Street Regeneration Scheme, including the project to create public art for the town, and work alongside local artists.

They have been organised by developers, GMI Group, with support from North East Derbyshire District Council and partners.

The workshops were part-funded by the CHART Healthy Communities Partnership Fund.
