"Public Access" for planning is an on-line Internet service that allows you to view details of planning applications being considered by the Council as well as some planning history. You can monitor the progress of an application, submit comments about the application, search a constantly updated list of applications received and decided each week, view details of some historic applications, and view property details by reference to a map. By clicking on the "Associated Documents" tab within Public Access, you can view current planning application documents on-line . These include plans, application forms, letters and decision documents that have been received in the last 6 months.
To accord with the Data Protection Act only documents which do not show personal information will be available to view on the website. Other documents can be still be viewed at the Councils Planning Reception on the second floor at The Council House, Saltergate.
The online planning history contained within the site at present is incomplete and must not be used as a substitute for carrying out a formal "Land Charge Search". North East Derbyshire District Council will take no responsibility for any errors or omissions in the planning history information obtained from "Public Access". Similarly the information contained within Public Access does not constitute in any way a formal notification of a planning decision, and as such any actions taken as a result of information displayed on the site are undertaken entirely at the viewer's own risk.

Planning application information submitted to the Council is protected by the Copyright Acts (Section 47, 1988 Act). You may only use material which is downloaded and/or printed for consultation purposes, to compare current applications with previous schemes and to check whether developments have been completed in accordance with approved plans. Further copies must not be made without the prior permission of the copyright owner.

Under normal circumstances the new planning application information will be able to be viewed within 5 working days of receipt of the application. If this is not available you may wish to try a few days later, or alternatively you will be able to view the planning application information in addition to the plans and associated documents at North East Derbyshire District Council's Offices at Council House, Saltergate, Chesterfield, during normal office hours. North East Derbyshire District Council reserve the right to remove or not display certain planning application information for confidentiality or other reasons.
